No pastas, because apparently pasta is horrible for you and every diet I read tells you to eliminate pasta. But I digress, the book goes on to tell you what you need to eat and why.I appreciate the thermogenic food list, which in short is food that burns more calories to eat / digest than they are to begin with. Also lists supplements you can take and should take complete with a reason why you should take them.

If you’re serious about optimizing your health this is a great resource. In the first 1/3 of the book, Orwell gives a thorough explanation of the way that a variety of foods impacts the body’s functioning. Superfoods are those that provide balanced nutrition while preventing chronic illnesses brought on by poor eating habits. The best part of the book is the full-color recipes that make superfoods eye appealing, mouth-watering, and easy to integrate into a weekly menu. Quite a few recipes come with a Nutrition Facts guide, and most use ingredients found in average grocery stores, an important detail if you live in the boonies like me. I’ve tried out a few recipes that were definite winners.
It is a weight loss book for the most part, that doesn't mention a lot of Superfoods. It mainly focuses on everyday foods. But, there is a lot of good information.
