While it's common knowledge, amongst libertarians, how the government steals from it's people and calls it "tax"; this charming read is a well researched compostion. I would say, "it's hard to put down!", but you'll just buy the book to put it down. That sentence is libertarianism in a nutshell. I encourage those who see taxation as "we all have to give back" to buy this book. It's certainly a "must have", regardless of where you side- politically 😊
This is a must read for every taxpayer. I had no idea how bad the waste really is. Tate also gives salient points on how to circumvent and avoid these invasive fees and taxes. A FUN BOOK and fast read. Strongly recommended.
I lean far left on many issues but I enjoyed this book along with Government Gone Wild. It was written in an informal way which might not appeal to some but I enjoyed it. I think the overall point she emphasized, how easy the government can raise taxes without people realizing it, is a valid point.
This book is a real eye-opener on how many ways we are taxed. Our hard-earned money is being taken from us by the government in so many ways that we don't realize and this book gives examples. It's informative, well-written and entertaining.
Shows just how out of control our tax system is in this country. She barely hist the surface of the waste and abuse. Many programs start with the best intensions and then get corrupted by our own politicians.
For any doubting Thomas this book details and names government, power groups and even individuals who perpetrate abuses of the by American taxpayers.
This book is amazing. We don't realize how much we pay in taxes AND what local governments are doing with our money. Bus drivers making $100k a year!!!! Have a glass of wine while reading this to keep your blood pressure down.
This may be an eye opener for most, it certainly was for me. An excellent read.
