Definitely it is great book to read. In my case, I am a SCM professional and professor; I always look for better ways to explain a complex topic such as Supply Chain Management. In this book Daniel explains in an easy language multiple basic concepts that everyone immersed in this professional world need to know, at the same time his coloquial language used have helped me to explain my master degree students ideas and concepts in a comfortable way. And of course, loved the last words dedication!
This book is a great addition to the supply chain management genre—the author ties together all SCM functions in a readable manner—demystifying complex concepts.I found the content well-thought-out as it introduces the reader to basic “SCM 101†business practices while not neglecting to cover more advanced subjects such as optimization and analytics planning.All in all, I have found this book geared towards facilitating learning and as a reliable, up-to-date reference. A great refresher for those working in the field or for others who are just getting started in supply chain management.
I've worked in supply chain management for nearly 3 decades with the world's largest consumer products company. Even with my supply chain logistical management experience, I still found Daniel's book both a great read and full of very good info & tips which I can put to use in my current job. Great book--highly recommend for both the novice & the supply chain expert!

The book is an excellent introduction to all the diverse elements of supply chain and its all encompassing management. Daniel hasn't missed a topic. Would like it to become a more indepth solutions manual down some of the more divergent paths.
Daniel Stanton is a recognized supply chain leader with strong academic credentials. Has has captured the forest and the trees (the important ones) of supply chain management in this book. It's an easy read as well. This book will serve you well.
