This is a very cute book. The story is creative and holds my nearly 3 year old grandson's attention from cover to cover. My wife and I got a kick out of it too. The pictures are good as well. Much younger kids may not quite appreciate it, but three and four year olds will enjoy it, and even five and six year olds. Seven and eight may be pushing it, but even they may get a kick out of a wild ride with Grandma behind the wheel.
The book deals with a business owned by grandma, and the sons drive the garbage trucks. However, both sons called in sick on the same day so grandma does what she has to do, runs the route herself. In the process, she picks up enough extra items on her garbage truck from her route, rose bushes, clothes line, etc. that she wins the parade she accidentally enters. A fun book for 2-3 yr. old
Cute book. My 2 year old Grandson is obsessed with watching the garbage & recycling truck, so ...what better than Grandma driving the garbage truck? Illustrations are beautiful. Read this book to some 3rd graders - 5th graders and they loved it.
Bought this book for my 3 year old grandson who loves garbage trucks. As a matter of fact, he was a garbage truck or Halloween.So I thought this book was appropriate for him.....and it was!!!
Such a cute and funny book! I bought this for my niece and nephew to read with their Grandma, and they have asked Gram to read it so many times now! The whole family got a kick out of this one, because Grandma saves the day!
Purchased for my Grandson's birthday to accompany his garbage truck pj's. His birthday is in December so he has not seen the book yet. I have looked through it and am sure he will love having it read to him
My son is 3 and loves garbage trucks so I thought it would be funny for him to read about a Grandma driving a garbage truck. The story isn't very interesting and not that humorous...and he really doesn't understand the concept of it so he doesn't ask us to read it to him. Maybe a 4 or 5 year old would like it? The illustrations are really nice. I probably should have checked it out at the library first before buying it.
I bought this for my twin nephews (age 3) for Christmas and they absolutely LOVED it!! I read it to them three or four times the day they got it! It's a funny book and one to act silly when reading (making screeching sounds from the garbage truck or swerving back and forth). I would highly recommend this book! Came quickly and as expected.
