I am a nurse who spent 5 years in ICU, and had the opportunity to transfer to PACU. This textbook has been incredibly valuable in expanding my limited knowledge about perianesthesia nursing. It is broken down into short sections of text grouped into chapters of related material. It is also written in a very simple question and answer format that makes it natural to read; it doesn't feel like you're reading a stuffy textbook! For example, in the "Airway Issues" chapter, there are questions like, "What is the stir-up regimen?" and "How do I extubate a patient?" The answers would be easy to understand even for a new nurse. Excellent textbook!
I am sorry but as a former ICU nurse who just started working in recovery there is no useful info whatsoever. I wouldn’t even recommend it to a new grad. Too late to return, very disappointed
